The Remote Control...
The Meter table was designed foremost to hide technology from living space. A suspended mass of American Walnut or Teak wood, with a shallow hidden drawer just deep enough to hold a remote or two.
We are connected, done. But humanity cannot survive on technology alone. When we disconnect we truly need to reconnect with our environment. The TV may have become the modern hearth, but at least they have been relegated to 4 inches off the wall.
Not only do we want to hide our technology at home, we want the drawer to disappear as well.
Out of sight, out of mind.
